About
At age 17, I was a lost teen sitting cross-legged on the floor of my high school gym, listening to a man speak about God and heaven. I heard something that astonished me. Faith is about relationship. The God of the universe loves me, knows me, and actually wants to be a part of my life.
He loves me so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, to this earth with the purpose of dying for all of my wrong thoughts, words and deeds. When I ask for his forgiveness, and believe in him, I’m set free to live a new, abundant life. This abundant life begins now and carries on into eternity.
That day changed my life forever.
I was given a new identity. I’m now a child of God. My life belongs to him. He created me to love and glorify him. All I think, say, and do is now governed by this relationship and reality.
I have a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Journalism from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute (now Toronto Metropolitan University), and I have worked professionally in marketing and communications. But my greatest joy has been working alongside my husband, Martyn, who is a pastor. For the past 34 years, we have helped people to see God for who he is, and encouraged and nurtured their relationship with him.
I’m the mother of four grown children whom I homeschooled. I’m enjoying being “Nana” to six grandchildren.
But this isn’t really about me at all. It’s about God and how amazing he is. May my life reflect him. He is the one you need to get to know.
